Egyptian Visitors Learn About Responses to Refugee Issues in St. Louis

International Visitor Leadership Program
Earlier this week, the World Affairs Council of St. Louis hosted visitors from Egypt through the International Visitor Leadership Program. All of the visitors were involved in helping refugees in Egypt and were able to meet with an assortment of different speakers that focus on refugee-related issues in the St. Louis area. They met with representatives from the International Institute, the Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Program, Welcome Neighbor STL and the American Civil Liberties Union of St. Louis, among others. They then spent one night at a Home Hospitality dinner eating a delicious, home-cooked meal.

When not in professional meetings or exploring the St. Louis area, the group relaxed at the beautiful Moonrise Hotel in the U-City Loop. On Wednesday the group said “Goodbye!” and headed off to San Diego. Thank you to our visitors, Home Hospitality Hosts, and everyone else who made this visit possible!
